The 7th Chinese Scientists Forum opens in Beijing today. Zhou Guangzhao, honorary President of China Association for Science and Technology and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered the opening speech. Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Wu Hequan made the keynote report. This conference focuses on the hot issue of "science and technology and capital". Nearly 1,000 scientists and businessmen from all over the country attended the opening ceremony. Lu Yongxiang, Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, sent a congratulatory letter to the forum.
During the three-day conference, the participants will focus on the new trend of science and technology development and new opportunities for enterprise development, from multiple perspectives of theory and practice, and extensively and deeply discuss how to connect the wings of science and technology and capital for enterprises, so as to achieve rapid development of enterprises. At the opening ceremony, the list of "2008 Top 500 private technology companies in China" was released. The Declaration of the Seventh Chinese Scientists Forum was read out, promising the society to give play to the main role of enterprises, vigorously promote scientific and technological innovation, create an environment for enterprise capital operation, transform science and technology into capital, and create wealth with science and technology.
